SPLIT POLICE SEIZE FIVE KILOS OF MARIJUANA, ARREST DRUG DEALER

SPLIT, Feb 6 (Hina) - Split police seized five kilograms of marijuana, 76 grams of heroin and a small quantity of cocaine and arrested a Split dealer, V.S., 22, on Friday, the Split police authorities reported on Saturday. The head of the police department for drugs, Josko Buljan, said the police suspected V.S. called Vice of having sold drugs in the residential area of Skalice for the last six months. Therefore they launched an investigation and raided Vice's flat and garage. During the raid the police found out five (5) kilos of marijuana, 76 gram of heroin, 12 grams of cocaine, three electronic scales and 700 German marks. The value of the confiscated goods is 80,000 kunas (12,000 dollars) at the illegal market. Vice, who is a registered drug-addict, obtained drugs from Herzegovina, kept them in his garage and sold after receiving telephone orders. Criminal charges have been preferred against him on the grounds that he sold and used drugs. After being interrogated by an investigating judge of the Split county court, Vice has remained in custody. (hina) ms
