CZECH REPUBLIC TO SUPPORT CRO ACCESS TO EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION

PRAGUE, Jan 22 (Hina) - Czech President Vaclav Havel received Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Friday and said the Czech Republic would support Croatia in its attempt to access Euro- Atlantic integrations. Relations between the two countries are developing to mutual satisfaction, Granic and Havel concluded. The Croatian Foreign Minister told the Czech President he was satisfied with the talks he held with Czech officials during his visit to Prague. The Havel-Granic talks focused on the Kosovo issue. The two officials agreed that Croatia and the Czech Republic share the same standing points. Croatia and the Czech Republic believe a solution to the Kosovo issue lies in granting the south Yugoslav conflict-ridden province autonomy status, by respecting Yugoslavia's internationally recognised borders, and with the presence of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and NATO forces. On behalf of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, Granic invited Havel for talks. Granic was also received by the Czech Premier and Labour and Social Welfare Minister Vladimir Spidl.
