ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - Some of the best Croatian motion pictures will be shown at a Croatian film retrospective which is to take place in Prague between January 21 and 27 as part of the "Febiofest" European film festival. The head of
the Czech National Film Archive Vladimir Opela chose six motion pictures among 14 proposed. These are Krsto Papic's "Lisice", Zoran Tadic's "Ritam zlocina", Zvonimir Berkovic's "Rondo", Ante Babaja's "Breza", and Kreso Golik's "Tko pjeva, zlo ne misli". Papic has also be invited to make a guest appearance between January 22 and 25. The films to be shown were made in the period between the early 1960s and the late 1980s. A retrospective of Croatia's contemporary film is expected to be held in 2000. One evening of the retrospective will feature eight Croatian
animated motion pictures, including "Surogat", "Samac", "Don
Kihot", "Satiemanija", and "Zid".
Zagreb will meanwhile plans the screenings of several well-known
Czech movies directed by Zvonimir Rogoz in the 1920s and the 1930s.
Kukuljica said the screenings might take place late this or early
next year.
