During the operation, policemen found two guns with one of these two drug dealers. One of the guns was loaded with one bullet. The police also confiscated 4,000 boxes of cigarettes which should have been sold at the black market. According to a statement issued by the cantonal police of Herzegovina-Neretva, these men were driving a Mitsubishi car with UN emblems on it. The police believe the arrested Darko Popovic and Darko Majstorovic (with identity cards issued in the north-western city of Banja Luka) abused the emblems of the UN in order to pass easily towards their destination. The emblems and signs were made of plastic material. However, the police statement does not clarify whether the apprehended men were really UN staff. On early Thursday, a police patrol stopped that car near Capljina and asked the two man inside the vehicle to show identity papers. The two claimed that they had the diplomatic immunity, but the police officers insisted on production of relevant papers. Then Popovic and Majstorovic dashed towards the town of Capljina, but another patrol intercepted them. The found marijuana was being transported from the southern town of Trebinje (the Serb entity) to Ljubuski (near Capljina in the federal part of Bosnia). Its value at the illegal market is believed to be 300,000 German marks. This has been the highest amount of marijuana confiscated by the police in the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina so far. According to police information, the Mitsubishi was bought in a second-hand car shop in the nearby southern town of Grude. (hina) ms
