PULA, Dec 17 (Hina) - Istria County police last night confiscated 13 kilos of marijuana hidden in the Kontija woods in Istria (north Adriatic). Police spokeswoman Stefanija Prosenjak Zumber told reporters Sunday the police had at
about 7pm Saturday, based on already gathered information and a tip, found and confiscated the marijuana in 20 plastic packages, in the woods some 150 metres from the Klostra-Flengi road. Police officers arrested F.B., 38, who was found at the location. A citizen of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, F.B. is a member of the Croatian Armed Forces, and lives in Pula. He is suspected of belonging to a drug trafficking chain. According to Zumber, police suspect three or four other persons from the Bosnian Federation and Istria being involved in the crime, and are currently conducting searches of flats and premises used by F.B. and other suspects. Following an investigation F.B. will be brought before the County
Investigative Court in Pula.
Considering the suspect is the military, Military Police have been
included in the investigation.
