KOPRIVNICA KOPRIVNICA, Dec 26 (Hina) - Three persons were killed and one was wounded in last night's shooting incident in a Romany neighbourhood of Koprivnica (north Croatia), police reported Tuesday. According to police, a telephone
call came in around 3:40am Tuesday informing them about gun fire in the neighbourhood of Koprivnicki Bregi, upon which three patrols were sent to the location. After the arrival of a police patrol, a shot was fired towards the officers and they could hear the loading of guns. An officer responded by drawing his weapon, killing M.O., 41, and wounding M.B., 43. Police later learnt M.B. had previously committed a double murder, shooting to death V.O., 36, and L.O., 27. Koprivnica-Krizevci County police commissioner Miroslav Puz said today the use of weapons by officers on duty had been in line with the Law on Affairs of the Interior, therefore "lawful and justified".
