ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - The main task of Croatia's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Zoning is adjusting Croatian laws to those of the European Union, Assistant Minister Hrvoje Glavac said at a meeting with representatives of
Croatia's non-governmental organisations for environmental protection in Zagreb on Thursday. Glavac recalled that 40 percent of 800 EU directives Croatia had to adopt referred to the protection of environment, health and consumers. The Ministry of Environmental Protection must adjust the laws referring to that area to the EU legislation. Denmark, Germany and Italy are interested in Croatia's projects of environmental protection, Glavac said.
