ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - On the first day of his official visit to India, Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic on Monday held talks with Indian Interior Minister Lal Krishan Advani and state minister for unconventional
sources of power M. Kannappan. The Croatian government media and public relations office on Monday said in a statement that Indian Minister Advani informed Croatian deputy prime minister Granic of the interior situation in India. During the talks the two officials exchanged opinions on the decentralisation of state government and self-government, consequences of wars and issues of illegal border crossings. Croatia and India are ready to sign a bilateral agreement on the struggle against international crimes and illegal drug trade. India, Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic on Monday
held talks with Indian Interior Minister Lal Krishan Advani and
state minister for unconventional sources of power M. Kannappan.
The Croatian government media and public relations office on Monday
said in a statement that Indian Minister Advani informed Croatian
deputy prime minister Granic of the interior situation in India.
During the talks the two officials exchanged opinions on the
decentralisation of state government and self-government,
consequences of wars and issues of illegal border crossings.
Croatia and India are ready to sign a bilateral agreement on the
struggle against international crimes and illegal drug trade.
Granic and Advani agreed that Croatia and India were facing similar
problems. On behalf of Croatian Interior Minister Sime Lucin,
Granic invited Advani to visit Croatia.
The Croatian first deputy prime minister also met Indian minister
for unconventional sources of power M. Kannappan. India is the only
country which has a ministry for unconventional sources of power.
The country also has specialised centres for the production of
power from unconventional sources. Granic said Croatia was
interested in cooperation and exchange of experience in this
field.
The Croatian official gave an interview for Indian daily in English
with th best circulation "The Times of India" in which he spoke
about the current political and economic issues in Croatia, and the
promotion of bilateral relations.
