ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - Parliament's House of Representatives on Wednesday ratified an umbrella agreement, an international contract including Croatia in international oil and gas transport systems. The ratification ensures
cooperation among sovereign states in establishing transport systems across their territories. The umbrella agreement comes at a European Union initiative. Active participation is of particular interest for Croatia as there have been attempts to bypass it in European oil and later gas transit routes. The government believes Croatia has substantial potentials for the transport of oil, for instance the Adriatic pipeline with a tanker harbour in Omisalj.
