ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - Croatian students have won three medals at the 12th International Olympiad in Informatics, held in Beijing on September 23-30, which places Croatia among the 20 most successful participants in the
Olympiad.

Frane Saric, a student of Zagreb's 15th Grammar School, won a silver
medal, whereas his colleague Damir Tubin and Mario Zivic, a student
at Zagreb's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, won
bronze medals.
Competitors from 72 countries participated in the Olympiad.
Croatia is one of the main candidates for hosting the 17th
International Olympiad in Informatics, to be held in 2005.
