ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - A seminar on the experience of Central and East European countries in transition in preparing for EU membership, especially in the sector of agriculture, was held at the Croatian Agriculture and Forestry
Ministry on Wednesday. Also presented at the seminar, which is part of a strategy of agricultural development and its adjustment to EU standards, was a Ministry's project investigating the current competitiveness of Croatia's agriculture and measures and goals of its agricultural policy. Assistant Agriculture Minister Miroslav Rozic said the Ministry's project, which was developed by a British consulting firm with support from the World Bank, was aimed at establishing a transparent system of agricultural infrastructure and creating a basis for implementation measures. agriculture were stable macroeconomic conditions, an accelerated
GDP growth rate, political stability and clear goals and
priorities.
