ZAGREB, Oct 2 (Hina) - A think-tank in charge of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway project met in Ioannina, Greece, on Friday and agreed to form a technical task force which should prepare a project feasibility study and establish possible
sources of financing. The think-tank agreed that each of the eight countries participating in the project should appoint an expert representative to the technical task force, which will work together with international experts, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday. Attending the Ioannina meeting were representatives of the countries involved in the project: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia, Turkey, and Macedonia, as well as representatives of the United Nations, the Southeast European Cooperation Initiative, and the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe. It was decided Croatia would represent and coordinate activities
related to the implementation of the project.
The think-tank should next convene next January in Montenegro to
discuss the conclusions put forward by the technical task force.
