RIJEKA DETENTION CENTRE RIJEKA, Sept 14 (Hina) - Following a ruling of the Croatian Supreme Court that the Rijeka-based county court should take over the case of the five arrested Gospic citizens, the apprehended suspects - Oreskovic
and other four war crimes suspects - were transferred from Gospic to the Croatian biggest seaport of Rijeka on Thursday evening. They were taken to the detention centre of the Rijeka county court. Near the court, about a hundred war veterans gathered to express their support to the arrested. One of the gathered said they also wanted to express disapproval of the current treatment of the arrested persons whose guilt has not been proved. After the cars with the suspects entered the yard of the court, the gathered veterans dispersed. Oreskovic and the other apprehended are suspected of having committed war crimes against civilians in Gospic in 1991.(hina) ms
