SARAJEVO, Sept 5 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat Vlatko Buzuk has received a one month detention with an extension possibility, at a pre-trial hearing in Sarajevo, Sarajevo's daily "Vecernje novine" said Tuesday. Buzuk was arrested by Sarajevo
police at the Orasje border crossing Friday after an arrest warrant was issued by the Sarajevo Canton Court and brought before an investigative judge Saturday. The investigative judge, Izet Bazdarevic, told Vecernje novine Buzuk had pleaded not guilty on charges of war crimes against civilians at the arraignment. Details of the indictment against Buzuk are as yet unknown. Canton prosecutor Mustafa Bisic said they would remain unknown in the interest of the ongoing investigation. The court's most important worry at the moment is to decide on which witnesses should be included in the witness protection programme. committed war crimes in Stupni Do near Vares where members of the
Croatian Council of Defence killed between 16 and 38 Bosniaks
(Moslems) in autumn of 1993.
