To elaborate on the difference, they said the allowance for providing care and assistance to disabled civilians, including paraplegics and tetraplegics, is 350 kuna ($42). The allowance for caring for disabled war veterans is 4,289 kuna ($510). equal material rights for the same disability, regardless of what
caused it, concluded the participants in Thursday's debate on the

Committee chairwoman Snjezana Biga-Friganovic said the burning
issues the disabled faced today were finding employment, a customs
law which rescinded benefits on the import of aids, and an a rule
book on orthopaedic aids.
Presidents of disabled persons' associations have endorsed a bill
on a Croatian disability register which the committee, as the
mother body, will forward into parliamentary procedure. This
should be a considerable step forward in shaping the policy for
disabled persons in the future, associations' representatives
believe.
The associations have also urged passing a law on the employment of
disabled persons, which the government has promised by year's end.
