MINISTER WITH FEDERATION REPS. ON ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL VETERANS

ZAGREB, Sept 5 (Hina) - Representatives of Croatia's Veterans' Ministry and the Ministry for Veterans' and Disabled Persons' Issues of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Croat-Muslim federation held talks in Zagreb on Tuesday on Croatia's assistance to war veterans from the federation. According to a statement from the Croatian Veterans' Ministry, today's talks represent the continuation of the cooperation and exchange of experience agreed on during a visit a Croatian delegation made to BH's federation in view of finding a comprehensive and lasting solution in connection with the assistance Croatia is granting war veterans in the federation. Croatia's Veterans' Minister Ivica Pancic and the federation's Deputy Minister for Veterans' and Disabled Persons' Issues Marko Arapovic urged a systematic and transparent regulation of the federation's veterans' rights to retirement and disability allowance, which currently are not regulated in line with existing provisions. This marks the beginning of a process of mutual comparison of the authenticity of documents on whose ground the federation's veterans exercise retirement and disability allowance rights within Croatia's system of veterans' care. Croatia's Veterans' Ministry expects a permanent solution regulating said rights will be found by year's end. (hina) ha
