ZAGREB, Aug 28 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic, who is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, met Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Monday.

Minister Fizulic is one of the first European state officials to
have been officially received by General Musharraf since he came to
power in the autumn of 1999, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a
statement today.
The two officials discussed relations between Croatia and
Pakistan, particularly the need to improve economic relations and
ties.
General Musharraf expressed interest in the improvement of
economic cooperation, especially in the area of communications and
telecommunications, including the export of Croatian equipment, as
well as in the area of military-technical cooperation, which would
be accompanied by the export of traditional Pakistani products,
from textile to agricultural products.
Cooperation between the two countries should be improved with joint
projects and collaboration, it was said at the meeting.
Minister Fizulic, who is heading a delegation including
representatives of Croatian companies, today also met Pakistan's
Science and Technology Minister Atta ur Rehman, Finance and Economy
Minister Shaukat Aziz, and Trade and Industry Minister Razzaq
Dawood.
Fizulic and his counterpart Dawood today signed an agreement on
trade and economic cooperation.
The two officials also agreed on cooperation in the delivery of
agricultural, machine and other tools, equipment and technology.
