COOPERATION BETWEEN CRO, CARINTHIAN ECONOMIES SHOULD BE WIDENED - OFFICIAL

ZAGREB, Aug 7 (Hina) - The possibilities of economic cooperation between Croatia and Austria's province of Carinthia are far better than the current level of cooperation, which could be improved by improving communication between the two economies, which have a large potential, Carinthia's Economy Minister Karl Pfeifenberger said commenting on Carinthia's participation in the upcoming Zagreb Autumn Fair. Carinthia's economy will be presented at the Zagreb Autumn Fair on some 200 square metres of exhibition area. Representatives of the Carinthian government will present to Croatian business people projects from the field of electronics, microelectronics, wood- processing industry, software, tourism etc. Also presented will be Carinthia's centre for the development of enterprise and technology. According to Pfeifenberger, Carinthia is ready to develop partnership with Croatia as well as relay through different projects its experience, knowledge and technologies in those areas which make its economy recognisable. Carinthia has already shown interest in the Croatian market through the presence of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, which has been operating in Croatia for years. Pfeifenberger also believes it is necessary to open offices for economy both in Croatia and Carinthia so that the two economies could be better linked. Carinthia's economic policy platform toward Croatia also includes establishing links in the area of tourism, Pfeifenberger said. (hina) rml
