SPLIT HOTEL COMPLEX DISCONTINUE STRIKE SPLIT, Aug 3 (Hina) - Employees with the Split-based hotel company 'Lav', who on Tuesday started a strike which was to last until August 8, on Thursday discontinued the rally, held near the
Adriatic road running along the coast. This was confirmed on Thursday evening by the head of the strikers' committee, Nikola Vojkovic, who said the decision to discontinue the strike was made after a phone conversation with Tourism Minister Pave Zupan Ruskovic. Vojkovic said the employees trusted the minister because she supported the survival of their company and the fulfilment of their demands. However, if at least one of the workers' requests, primarily the payment of salaries, is not met by August 15, the workers will continue the strike, Vojkovic said.(hina) rml
