ZAGREB, July 27 (Hina) - The annual average charges for users of the permanent berth in Croatian nautical marinas remain 200 kuna (approximately 50 German marks) this year. The charges, however, will climb to 400 kuna (DM 100) next
year, according to a decree the Croatian Government adopted on Wednesday at the proposal of the Tourism Ministry. Under the act on the visitors' tax, persons aboard a ship, pay annual charges for the use of the berth, while their vessel ties up in a Croatian marina permanently. The permanent berth is the berth a ship uses in the nautical marinas in compliance with a lease contract, concluded to a one-year period. The 400 kuna tax covers all persons aboard the vessel.
