Globe" as the best director, at the 35th Karlovy Vary International

He was awarded for his film "The Marshal", produced by "Interfilm"
and the Croatian Radio Television.
At this year's festival, 19 films from 19 countries competed and the
jury was chaired by Iranian director, Abbas Kiarostami, who won the
Cannes' "Golden Palm".
The festival in the Czech spa Karlovy Vary (in the German called
Carlsbad), which is one of the oldest world film festivals, is
listed in the category of festivals such as Cannes, Venice and
Berlin.
The Crystal Globe, conferred to Bresan, has been the first official
award won by a Croatian movie at Category A festivals since 1990.
Bresan's move was placed the second according to the votes of the
public.
"The Marshal" is one of most successful Croatian films, with
Crystal Globe and an award from the Berlin Festival, read a
statement released by "Interfilm" company.
