ZAGREB, July 1 (Hina) - The first Croatian Internet film festival 'Web movie fest Y2K' will be held on July 2-16 at www.webmoviefest.com. Forty-six short films from Croatia and abroad will be presented during the festival. Most films
come from the United States (26), Yugoslavia (eight) and Croatia (six). Presented will also be two films from Greece and India each and one from Canada. Although most competitors come from the United States, many of them are of non-American origin and work in the United States. Given the accessibility of the Internet, multiculturality has become increasingly common, the festival's founder Hrvoje Malekovic said. There has been no strict selection of the movies and most of them will be shown at the festival. Awards will be announced several days upon the completion of the festival.(hina) rml
