SIBENIK POLICE ARREST GROUP OF ILLEGAL CHINESE IMMIGRANTS SIBENIK, June 28 (Hina) - Sibenik police on Tuesday afternoon discovered 35 Chinese who most probably were to be smuggled via Sibenik-Knin County by sea route to a western
European country, police department head Goran Pauk said on Wednesday. The Chinese citizens are being criminally processed, but proceedings have been slow owing to the fact that no Chinese interpreter has yet been found. By two p.m. police were unable to issue a more detailed report on how the Chinese had reached Pirovac near Sibenik, where and how they were to be further transferred, and which country was their destination. The apprehended Chinese are mainly younger men, peaceful and very neat. Some of them speak a little Russian. Police assume the Chinese were waiting for a ship which was to take them away.(hina) ha mm
