SOLTA, June 13 (Hina) - Croatian Navy ships and a Croatian Airforce

Thunderbolt" performed a joint search and rescue manoeuvre near the
central Adriatic island of Solta Tuesday.
The manoeuvre was successful. I'm glad we are here and cooperating
with the well-prepared Croatian Navy, said commander of the "USS
Thunderbolt" Ian Pollit after the manoeuvre. Pollit, who is in his

announced new joint Croatian-American military manoeuvres.
Today's operation was performed in two parts. In the first part of
the manoeuvre, two Croatian and one American ships which were
taking orders from a third Croatian ship also included in a
manoeuvre, "Faust Vrancic", successfully discovered the
simulation of a drowned person. The ships were assisted by the
Croatian Airforce helicopter.
After that, American specialists from the "USS Thunderbolt"
demonstrated the search of a ship suspected of smuggling. The
demonstration was performed on the "Faust Vrancic" ship. This was
the significant part of the manoeuvre because the United States
soldiers, while searching the ship, demonstrated Partnership for
Peace standards, which Croatia has not yet met.
Milan Catlak commanded the Croatian forces.
The "USS Thunderbolt" is to sail out of the Split port Wednesday.
