ZAGREB, June 7 (Hina) - The European Union's high representative for security and foreign affairs, Javier Solana, will make a working visit to Zagreb on Thursday and Friday. Solana and Croatia's senior officials are expected to hold
talks on strengthening Croatia-EU cooperation in connection with the commencement of negotiations on an agreement on stabilisation and association, which EU's Council of Ministers should okay in Luxembourg on June 13. Talks should also tackle the implementation of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe, and expanding trade benefits for countries in the region. On Friday Solana will hold meetings with Croatia's President Stipe Mesic, Prime Minister Ivica Racan, and Foreign Minister Tonino Picula.(hina) ha jn
