ZAGREB, June 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday gave consent to the Croatian Railways (HZ) to take a loan from a foreign company EUROFIMA. The loan, valued 20 million German, marks will be used for the reconstruction and
renovation of carriages, trains and engines. According to Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac, the HZ will be granted the loan under favourable conditions. The interest rate is 5.6 percent, the loan will be given at the time term of ten years and should be paid back in the last year. The Government forwarded amendments to the physical planning law into the parliamentary procedure. It also sent to the National Sabor a final draft text of a law on the planned 2001 census. At the end of the session Prime Minister Ivica Racan resolutely demanded that a practice must cease when there were neither minister nor their deputies from a ministry at the Government's session.
