OTTAWA, June 2 (Hina) - Croatia's Independence Day (May 30) was celebrated at the Croatian Embassy in Ottawa on Wednesday evening. Ambassador Andrija Jakovcevic gave a reception for about 300 guests, representatives of Canadian
authorities and parliament, businessmen, the diplomatic corps' members, public figures and celebrities as well as member of the Croatian community in Ottawa. Canadian Defence Minister Art Eggleton and a group of Croatian female MPs, who were on one-week tour in Canada, also attended the party at the Embassy. A show of Croatian travel posters was staged in the offices of the Embassy on that occasion.(hina) ms
