EJUP GANIC THROWN OUT OF SDA PARTY

SARAJEVO, May 25 (Hina) - The President of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Federation, Ejup Ganic, has been excluded from the Moslem-led ruling party - the Party of Democratic Action (SDA). On Thursday the Sarajevo media quoted an explanation that Ganic was thrown from the party as he failed to respect decisions of the party's bodies. The decision on his exclusion was made by the SDA Presidency after considering the implementation of decisions of the party's head committee on giving a vote of no confidence in this and some other officials from this party. Subsequently the party pinned the hole blame on him for its failure at local elections in April. At the latest session of the federal House of Representatives, the SDA bench's head, Almir Alikadic, formally asked the instigation of a procedure of the replacement of Ejup Ganic at the top post in the Federation. Alikadic claimed then that the SDA held Ganic liable for a bad situation in the Federation and for "continued toleration of the existence of parallel institutions of Herzeg-Bosna." The House of Representatives did not add this motion to its agenda and following Alikadic's address, Ganic himself said he had not intention to resign. (hina) mm ms
