UPPER HOUSE TO DISCUSS DECLARATION ON TERMINATION OF COOPERATION

ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - The Croatian National Parliament House of Counties on Tuesday began its 42nd session to discuss some 20 draft laws, including a packet of tax laws. The draft law on the ecological production of agricultural and food products is the first item on the agenda to be discussed by MPs. In its first reading the law received support by party benches with the general assessment that it ought to have been passed a long time ago. "The law can influence the health of citizens and better nutrition," Deputy Agriculture and Forestry Minister Tomislav Ledic said. The Croatian Party of Rights -- Christian Democrats of Moslavina coalition party bench endorsed a motion by the Croatian Peasants' Party bench and paraphrased the name of their motion of a resolution on the termination of cooperation with the HAGUE-based international war crimes tribunal. Following a pause parliament benches agreed that the item remains on the agenda, but dubbed "Draft conclusions on a temporary termination" of Croatia's cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.
