ZAGREB, May 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS), which is holding a general conference in Zagreb on Saturday, has entrusted Zlatko Tomcic to continue leading the party. The conference also accepted Tomcic's report on HSS's
work in the past year. Of 720 representatives who took part in the vote, 599 supported Tomcic's report. Tomcic, who is also the president of the Croatian National Sabor, said the vote was a sign of support for the party to soon define new rules of conduct and for its policy toward its coalition partners regarding a programme aimed at dragging Croatia out of the current crisis. Croatian President Stipe Mesic's advisor on internal affairs, Igor Dekanic, coalition partners and representatives of the opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) wished the conference success.(hina) jn rml
