SABOR SHOULD APPOINT COMMISSION FOR SUPERVISING WIRETAPPING

ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - The Croatian House of Representatives' Committee on Internal Affairs and National Security on Wednesday agreed on the procedure for establishing a commission which would supervise decisions on wiretapping. Representatives will also be offered a debate and a vote on a proposal for the Sabor to, acting on the suggestion of the Committee, form a three-member commission, which would give its approval regarding decisions on wiretapping made by the Interior Ministry. In a debate on changes to the Law on Internal Affairs, which were drawn up by the Committee, it was suggested that the commission be appointed by the Sabor and that it be controlled by the Committee. The commission should consist of two investigating judges and a distinguished public figure or politician.
