ZAGREB, May 1 (Hina) - Labour Day is being celebrated in Zagreb's Maksimir Park Monday under the organisation of two union associations -- the Alliance of Croatian Independent Unions (SSSH) and the Alliance of Croatian Workers' Unions
(URSH). Prime Minister Ivica Racan and President Stipe Mesic visited the Park, spoke to the people and tasted the traditional Labour Day bean stew. The gathered people were also addressed by SSSH president Davor Juric and URSH president Boris Kunst. Speaking about the economic and social crisis in the country, Juric reminded Mesic and Racan the union had helped them win in the elections. "We thus expect the Croatian authorities to begin fulfilling their agreement with the SSSH for a just Croatia," Juric said.
