The leadership of the trade union is completely aware of the fact
that Nama problems are not from yesterday and that they are not the
result of activities of this Government not the HFP leadership and

HFP reminded that in the last two months it tried to do everything to
avoid Nama's bankruptcy, and that it held negotiations with both
unions of Nama and Nama management on a possibility of the finacial
reconstruction.
The HFP agreed to, if Nama management achieves a realistic
agreement with new partners, examine a possibility of solving the
current situation by the sale of its ownership share under special
conditions or through a bankruptcy programme with re-organisation,
however, such attempt proved to be unrealistic and unsuccessful,
the statement read.
About 100 Nama employees, and members of the Nama trade union staged
a protest outside the Croatian Privatisation Fund headquarters
Tuesday due to the HFP's failure to accept Nama's financial
reconstruction programme. The Trade Union of Croatia did not
support the protest explaining that all possibilities of the
finacial reconstruction of Nama were exhausted. The Trade Union of
Croatia requested that a bankruptcy proceeding be started in order
for Nama to start business activities with a greater number of
employees.
