ZAGREB, April 21 (Hina) - President of Croatian Police Unions (SPH) Dubravko Jagic told Friday's news conference about the participation of a SPH delegation at the Conference of European Police Unions held in Luxembourg on Thursday.
The SPH representatives informed their European colleagues about the union's efforts to realise the right of autonomous negotiations on the signing of a collective agreement for police officers, Jagic said. The Union holds a collective agreement signed between the government and Union of State and Public Employees recently was not appropriate for the work of police officers. European police unions supported the stance, deeming every state should have one police union by profession, Jagic said. He added the SPH had been invited to a meeting of police unions of transitional countries in Vienna on June 30.(hina) lml
