ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) - Croatia's admission into the World Trade
Organisation (WTO) was the main topic of Friday's talks Croatian
Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic held with France's Ambassador to
Croatia, Albert Turot.
The most important part of their talks referred to Croatia's
accession into the WTO, which has been prolonged owing to different
stands between the United States and the European Union on
liberalisation of audio-visual services.
Fizulic delivered a non-paper to the French diplomat with the
explanation of Croatia's proposals for offers of audio-visual
services. The proposal was drafted after consultations with the
U.S. side that accepted the model called "Baltic Plus One" (about
those services applied in the case of the accession of Baltic states
into the WTO), said the Croatian Economy Ministry in a statement.
The French Ambassador Turot informed Minister Fizulic about French
companies present on the Croatian market and added that French
investors were very interested in Croatia, particularly in its
tourism.
Fizulic notified him of a draft act on incentives for investment in
Croatia and of the economic strategy for this year.
