NCNW DELEGATION VISITS CROATIAN EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON WASHINGTON, April 9 (Hina) - A group of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) on Saturday were guests of the Croatian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Their host, the wife of Croatian Ambassador to the United States, Mrs. Tatjana Zuzul, told them about Croatia's past and the current situation. She also spoke about Croatia women's participation in public life and politics. Mrs. Zuzul cited the data that almost one quarter of the new composition of the National Parliament (Sabor) are female deputies. The NCNW, established in 1935, is an umbrella organisation for protection and promotion of rights of Negro women in th United States. Nowadays it has several ten thousand members in almost all U.S. cities.
