CRO ECONOMY MINISTER MEETS GERMAN, SWEDISH AMBASSADORS

ZAGREB, March 31 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic on Friday held separate talks with Swedish Ambassador Ingemar Boerjesson and Germany's Ambassador Volker Haak on the goals of Croatia's economic policy and measures the Croatian government is taking to achieve them, the Economy Ministry reported. The Swedish ambassador informed Fizulic about the positive attitude of his government and public toward changes in Croatia. The two sides agreed that a presentation on investment possibilities in Croatia and measures for stimulating foreign investments be organised in Sweden soon. Boerjesson also informed Fizulic about the operation of Swedish companies in Croatia, of which there are 33. The meeting with Germany's Haak focused on the German government's decision to intensify cooperation with Croatia. In line with that decision, Croatian and German representatives will hold a meeting on forms of cooperation on the ministerial level in Zagreb in mid- April. The two sides agreed that there was considerable interest of German business people in investments in Croatia, which was proved by recent visits of a DamlerChrysler delegation and German business people to Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. The German ambassador informed Fizulic about the aims of the recently opened German Economy Office in Zagreb, the Ministry said. (hina) rml
