ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - The Croatian Foreign Ministry assessed Monday this morning's apprehension of Momcilo Krajisnik was the commencement of the punishment process for those most responsible for the aggression in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and the entire region of the former Yugoslavia.

Monday this morning's apprehension of Momcilo Krajisnik was the
commencement of the punishment process for those most responsible
for the aggression in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the entire region of

A Foreign Ministry statement issued in the wake of the arrest, said
Krajisnik had been president of the Assembly of Bosnian Serbs
during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 1992 until 1995 after
which he had been elected as member of the Presidency of Bosnia-
Herzegovina from Republika Srpska.
Krajisnik was apprehended in his home in Pale Monday morning in a
Stabilisation Force action and transported to The Hague.
Krajisnik has been indicted by the Hague-based International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on February 21,
2000 for genocide, crimes against humanity, the violation of war
customs and laws and grieve breeches of the Geneva conventions from
July 1, 1991, until December 31, 1992. The ICTY had also issued a
warrant for his arrest along with the indictment.
The Foreign Ministry concludes the ICTY prosecution held
Krajisnik's trial should be held jointly which that of indictee
Radovan Karadzic.
