ZAGREB, Mar 8 (Hina) - A Croatian Sabor's delegation, headed by Sabor Vice-President Baltazar Jalsovec, on Wednesday met a delegation of the US National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), the Sabor's public
relations office reported. The meeting accentuated readiness for cooperation as regards the functioning of parties which make the parliamentary majority, relations between the Sabor and Government, and the establishment and maintaining of closer relations with the electorate. The NDI delegation also met representatives of the largest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). The NDI is a Washington-based non-governmental organisation for the promotion of democracy, election monitoring, and for encouraging a more active role of citizens and advocating the transparency and responsibility of governmental institutions.
