SIBENIK, March 1 (Hina) - The relief of the general directors of state-owned companies of INA and HEP, Davor Stern and Damir Begovic, was not conducted due to political reasons, Croatian Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic said on
Wednesday. As a representative of Croatia's interests and the owner of INA and HEP, the Croatian Government assessed that the relief must be conducted at this moment, Fizulic said. In Begovic's opinion, his relief has not been conducted due to business reasons, therefore it must have been due to political reasons. INA and HEP have troubles with illiquidity and great unpaid demands and unsettled debts, Fizulic said. He stressed that prices of petroleum products and power have not yet gone up despite the demands of INA and HEP leadership.
