ZAGREB, Feb 22 (Hina) - The State Audit has not found irregularities in activities of only three Croatian ministries, namely the Culture Ministry, the Labour and Social Welfare Ministry, and the Ministry of Zoning, Reconstruction, and
Housing, read data of an audit report for 1998 of the State Audit. The report will be discussed at a session of the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives this week. MPs will also discus audit reports from three former state ministries, the Defence Ministry, the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry. All three reports bear sign "official secret". In 14 of a total of 17 ministries included in the report for 1998, the State Audit discovered irregularities in activities, primarily regarding the passing and implementing of the budget. in activities of only three Croatian ministries, namely the Culture
Ministry, the Labour and Social Welfare Ministry, and the Ministry
of Zoning, Reconstruction, and Housing, read data of an audit
report for 1998 of the State Audit.
The report will be discussed at a session of the Croatian National
Sabor's House of Representatives this week. MPs will also discus
audit reports from three former state ministries, the Defence
Ministry, the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry. All three
reports bear sign "official secret".
In 14 of a total of 17 ministries included in the report for 1998,
the State Audit discovered irregularities in activities, primarily
regarding the passing and implementing of the budget.
The report reads that difficulties in carrying out budget expenses
in the final quarter of 1998 were solved by issuing bills of
exchange. Further on, in 1998 the state issued collateral amounting
to almost DM25 million more that it was allowed in line with the Law
on the implementation of the budget.
