SARAJEVO, Feb 10 (Hina) - Results gathered so far in the
investigation into the assassination of Jozo Leutar, former Deputy
Interior Minister of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, will be
announced in three weeks and they will contain information on
suspects and leads, the head of the UN Mission in Bosnia, Jacques
Klein, said in Sarajevo.
In an interview published by the Sarajevo-based daily 'Dnevni avaz'
on Thursday, Klein said the public would be informed about the whole
investigation and its results. He added prosecutors were expected
to issue arrest warrants immediately after the announcement of
those results.
Klein said that persons who had obstructed the investigation would
be named.
Commenting on the overall situation in Bosnia, Klein said too much
time had been lost in stabilising peace and integrating the country
into European associations, primarily the Council of Europe.
Klein said he was not an optimist regarding the possible results of
the municipal election scheduled for April this year. According to
him, the parties currently in power will be re-elected, which he
said was truly worrying.
Asked about the organisation of military forces in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Klein said the disbandment of all armies would be the
best solution, however, it was not realistic at the moment.
The best alternative would be to establish some kind of national
guards in the two entities as a replacement for active military
forces, he said.
