The audit inspected accounts for the period between January 4 and February 3 inspecting all funds paid and which amounted to approximately 500K DM including approximately 90K DM in Value Added Tax. The audit disclosed that over 90 per cent of the funds were paid in by legal entities while 9.1 per cent was paid in cash. Balog announced that a final audit would be conducted upon completion of the campaign. Mesic believes that prior to the next presidential elections, the current law would need to specify funding for campaigns.
