electoral rallies in Sibenik and Zadar.

The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) led Croatia into Paraguay,
saying they were leading it to Europe, he said.
Mesic announced a "maximal control of state finances" and the
introduction of auditing into all ministries.
Should he become president, Mesic said, one of the first moves would
be to significantly restrict the government budget, and the
discussion on reducing conscription to four months.
Recalling that the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina cost Croatia
DM3million a day, Mesic advocated a radical turn-around in the
policy towards Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Mesic stressed Croats in that country cannot live of off the
Croatian budget.
"They cannot be driving 'wild' cars and build villas, and request
social assistance from Croatia," Mesic said.
