Elaborating a bill on amendments to the law on the Croatian Government, Linic said it was a novelty that one of the vice prime ministers would be Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan's first deputy. Also proposed was the cancellation of the Office of vice prime ministers, and expert and administration work would be conducted by the Government Secretariat. The Croatian Government would include 19 ministries, which is two ministries more than the old Government had. According to the proposal, the Immigration, Reconstruction and Development Ministry would be cancelled and its work would be conducted by the Ministry for Public Works, Reconstruction and Building. The status of state ministries would also be cancelled. New ministries, namely the Ministry for European Integration, the Ministry for the Environment Protection and Urban Planning, the Power Supply, Industry, Trade and Privatisation Ministry, and the Craftsmanship, and Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Ministry, would be organised. Linic believes that bills on amendments to the laws will not significantly increase the administration and overall expenses of the state administration. He said that the Government would present the entire documentation on the organisation of the state administration within six months at the latest. 8hina) it
