ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Presidency of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) on Wednesday failed to decide on the party candidate for the post of Croatian National Sabor vice-president. "This will be decided next week at a session of
the HDZ parliamentary bench," a Presidency member Vlatko Pavletic said after tonight's three-hour session. An HDZ vice president Ivic Pasalic said the session tackled "several important topics." Pasalic said that since he had frozen his membership in the party presidency, he had been working "intensively on other matters," without explaining what he meant. He also declined to say whether he still insisted on the resignation of the HDZ acting head Vladimir Seks. (hina) rml
