ZAGREB, Jan 27 (Hina) - At its final session, the Government of Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa is discussing everything that has been done since the forming of the government in early November of 1995 up to this date. Members
of Matesa's Government submitted reports on everything that has been conducted in their portfolios, and the Government is to take a position regarding a report on its four-year long activities. Matesa's Government worked in peacetime period, after the military and policy operations of Storm and Flash which liberated a part of Croatia's territory. During the four years, its priorities were taking care of victims of the Homeland War, the reconstruction of areas which suffered damage in the war, ensuring the conditions for the return of refugees and displaced persons, joining European integration. Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa is discussing everything
that has been done since the forming of the government in early
November of 1995 up to this date.

to take a position regarding a report on its four-year long

Matesa's Government worked in peacetime period, after the military
and policy operations of Storm and Flash which liberated a part of
Croatia's territory. During the four years, its priorities were
taking care of victims of the Homeland War, the reconstruction of
areas which suffered damage in the war, ensuring the conditions for
the return of refugees and displaced persons, joining European
integration. The Government invested efforts in the legislature
field, reforms in economy, financial reconstruction of the bank
system, as well as other fields.
As for the foreign policy, Croatia signed the Dayton Agreement,
joined the Council of Europe, and great activities were conducted
towards the European Union which created conditions for real
European integration, said Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic.
Deputy Prime Minister Ljerka Mintas Hodak pointed to the
organisation of the Office for European Integration which could
become a ministry, activities of the Office for National
Minorities, and the Office for Cooperation with non-government
organisations.
Finance Minister Borislav Skegro said that his Ministry financed
the Homeland War, created the new financial system, regulated
obligations towards abroad, namely the London and Paris Clubs.
The Immigration Reconstruction and Development Ministry helped the
reconstruction of 95,000 houses which were damaged in the war, said
Minister Radic.
