ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - Veterans of the Croatian Homeland War, widows, invalids, and families of detained and missing soldiers were handed papers and keys to 145 new flats in the Zagreb suburb of Laniste on Wednesday. The allocation
of flats is part of a programme for the housing accommodation of Homeland War veterans. According to today's announcements from the ministries of defence and reconstruction, development, and immigration, war veterans will be given another 100 flats on the same location next week. Congratulating the veterans on the new flats, veterans' minister Juraj Njavro said he believed new authorities would continue caring for veterans, especially by helping them settle accommodation issues.(hina) ha mm
