ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - Croatian acting president Vlatko Pavletic on Thursday received the president of the World Veterans' Federation, Serge Wourgaft and a delegation of the Association of Croatian Homeland War Veterans (UHVDR),
headed by Lieutenant General Djuro Decko. Wourgaft's visit to Croatia aims at the implementation of the 17th World Veterans' Confederation, which will be held in the northern Adriatic town of Pula between March 13 and 20. The Confederation will be organised by UHVDR. Pavletic said that Croatia has veterans from many wars and armies, and from the most important, the Homeland War, in which the foundations for Croatia's independence were made. According to Wourgaft, the World Veterans' Federation's main task is to gather and connect former allies, as well as war opponents.
