ZAGREB, Jan 7 (Hina) - Thirty women, members of parliament will hold seats in the Croatian National Parliament House of Representatives, which is two and a half times more than before. Out of a total of 151 MPs, women make up almost 20 per cent. Most women, 18 of them, are from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) - Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) coalition, nine from the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), four from the coalition of four opposition parties and one will represent the Czech and Slovakian minorities. these are assessments by women candidates, based on incomplete and unofficial results of Croatian parliamentary elections of January 3. The women's Ad Hoc coalition which advocated more women in politics is satisfied with the results of the parliamentary poll, but stressed their goal was for women in the Parliament to make up 40 per cent of MPs.(hina) lml m
